Walking through the streets of the village, one cannot help but notice the numerous public fountains, each unique in its design.
To revitalize certain areas of the village, particularly the old public fountains, the Municipality of Arrone and the Proloco of Casteldilago organized the sculpture symposium “Stone and Water”, reflecting the valley’s distinctive character shaped by the stone of the mountains and the waters of the Nera River.
During the three editions of the symposium, held from 1998 to 2000, five sculptors from various parts of the world expressed their artistic vision by carving stone blocks. Their work resulted in true artistic masterpieces, creating a striking harmony between the medieval architecture of the village and contemporary sculpture.
